Description
Made from the grapes of Vinhas Velhas (old vines) that are over 55 years old. In 21 years of production at Herdade das Servas, there have only been 5 editions of Vinhas Velhas (2005, 2009, 2012, 2014 and 2015). Old vines keep their own time, which is why this wine is only produced in years when they present truly perfect conditions.
Tasting Notes: Clear, deep violet red wine, with aromas of plum, black cherry, fig, chocolate, spices and also floral notes of violets. Complex, structured, full-bodied and fresh, with some hints of toast from barrel ageing, smoked notes, rich tannins and long finish, this wine has excellent potential for storage and ageing.
Grapes: Alicante Bouschet (45%), Touriga Nacional (30%), Trincadeira (20%) and Petit Verdot (5%)
